Black Friday

This is the first time in 4 years that I didn't work on Black Friday. Spent the day drinking coffee, making family reunion plans with my sister, followed by pedicures. Lovely.

Sable 2014 - Kindergarten

Kicked in the Karma

I just got an invite to my 20 year High School reunion for next summer. I went with Joel his his 20 year... I made fun of him for being old enough to have his 20th....

Determined!

Clifton kept all of us up late last night. This morning everyone woke up on time, a bit sleepy. Sable went off to school happy. I had to force dress Clifton this morning and bribe him into the car to make my gym class on time. I was yawning on my BOSU ball. Our day is getting easier. I hope for an early bedtime tonight.

"Celebrate good times, COME ON!"

The new bus driver always has music on in the mornings. Kool & the Gang's Celebrate came on while I was trying to buckle Sable into her seat. There were many dance moves to navigate but I got her secured and off to school shouting "Come on, Woo Hoo!"

the crazy things I say in the morning.

I woke up late and groggy this morning. I walked into the living room and saw Joel drinking coffee, browsing the internet. The kids were calmly watching morning cartoons and drinking juice. I said to Joel "Why do you look so sexy this morning?" Without looking up or changing his deadpan expression, he said,"You were up all night with cliff and you're probably just delusional"

WEST SIDE!

Clifton and I were waiting for the school bus and there was a girls soccer game starting across the street. They huddled and yelled "1, 2, 3, WEST SIDE!" and Clifton yelled back "NO!" I heard some girls giggle.

Counting our doughnuts...

Joel grabbed some doughnuts for the kids this morning. After Sable finished hers, she asked for more. Joel said, "No, you only had one." and Sable said, "We needed two."

Kids are fun!

We've had some wonderful firsts this month. Both Sable and Cliff have started talking in sentences: "Giraffe has long neck" and "Where's sister's bus?" Sable is so excited for school each day that she runs to the school bus waving to her friends. Clifton helps get dressed in the morning so we can get to the gym and play. He's also holding doors open for people.

Sable was on the deck the other day looking up. Joel asked, "Are you looking at the sky?" and Sable said "It's SO high!"

When Cliff and I leave anyplace, we say "Thank you (best part)." We left the bank today where he was given a lollipop. He said "Thank you, suckers."

Grandma Dawn spoiled Sable with some fashionable school clothes today! Sable looks great in everything so it's a lot of fun choosing clothes for her.Thank you Grandma Dawn!

Keri and Cliff's first gym day!

Cliff was perfect for his little play class. I loved peeking in and seeing him play with the little group of kids. The ladies in the play center are lovely and said Cliff was fun and easy to handle. I got to break in my shoes on a treadmill, met some of the employees and find all my favorite machines. I'm signed up for a class next week. I'm so excited!

What I said: "I joined a Gym today!"

Stacy's reaction: "...so." Hardly worth a phone call.

because Stacy had heard: "I drank some Gin today"

LOOK! new gym shoes. My yoga pants are going to make it to an actual yoga class. Go me!

First day of Kindergarten

I went into the kids room to wake Sable up for her first day of Kindergarten and found that Cliff curled up with her sometime last night. So sweet!

We've had a busy week and to celebrate making it to the end of summer, we ordered pizza. Sable held the pizza to her mouth and before she took a bite, said very seriously, "I love you pizza."

Her teacher is lovely, the classroom is beautiful, the class schedule looks fun. Sable's outfit is ready, her lunch is packed... I'm worried sick...
