It's amazing how life changes when people get laid off; I can't believe there are still people who don't know how much they spend on milk at the grocery store (what a luxury!). Although losing 80% of our previous income has been devastating to us and our family, I can think of the few good things that have come out of it, like: We actually value good health, we are using/wasting less oil, we are shopping in our basement for old treasures instead of shopping for new ones. I actually like my minimalistic wardrobe and wear everything in my closet (that feels good), we are eating healthier because we're at home more, gift certificates = Date night fun! "Hardship Plans" are helping us to get rid of our debt faster (and forever) and keeps our credit in good standing. Joel gets to experience being a stay at home dad and understands the struggles of running our household better. We are all able to be in school, I'm finishing, Joel has recently started and Sable is learning a lot with her friends.
It's a struggle, but we've got a plan
