Men and women just think differently

Keri: "Do you know what this new oven inspires me to do?"
Joel: "Cook?"
Keri: "No. Buy a new fridge."

Black Friday

This is the first time in 4 years that I didn't work on Black Friday. Spent the day drinking coffee, making family reunion plans with my sister, followed by pedicures. Lovely.

Kicked in the Karma

I just got an invite to my 20 year High School reunion for next summer. I went with Joel his his 20 year... I made fun of him for being old enough to have his 20th....

Keri and Cliff's first gym day!

Cliff was perfect for his little play class. I loved peeking in and seeing him play with the little group of kids. The ladies in the play center are lovely and said Cliff was fun and easy to handle. I got to break in my shoes on a treadmill, met some of the employees and find all my favorite machines. I'm signed up for a class next week. I'm so excited!

Happy New Year!

Thank you, Jackie and Keith for the tickets to see Evita and babysitting the monsters on New Years Eve!

We needed coffee to stay up late. It worked! We were awake until 10:00pm! (we have kids...)

What a fun way to end a great year!

Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails has been my favorite band for 25 years. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have a favorite band. This week was the fourth time I've seen them live, and the show was brilliant. Trent Reznor humbly thanked the crowd several times. Seriously, THANK YOU TRENT! I'm a very proud fan.

Genealogy organization

These are my family "pile" files. I'm organizing and this is what I ended up with. It's mostly notes, letters and legal documents. Left pile is my Dads family, then my moms (neatly sorted into binders!), next is my in-laws and at the right end my trusty scanner.

Having a moment

I'm in the living room listening to my two kids playing together in their bedroom. They are speaking gibberish and weirdly understanding each other. I'm having a mom moment.

PAX Prime

So, Joel and I were standing in this massive line with a few of our friends. When the line started moving I could see our friends ahead of me and Joel was a few heads behind. I felt someone grab onto my waist and I whipped my head around ready with a slew of annoyed valley-girl sounding insults and it ended up being Joel. He had caught up with me. The guys standing next to us were laughing with us.
Everyone was polite, security was helpful and kept the crowds moving. Joel bought me some pink and black dice. We had fun checking everything out. Pax is HUGE.
