"SMACK"

Sable just saw me playfully hit her daddy. She walked up and hit me in daddy's defense...

Infertility woes

I have friends going through infertility issues right now. Quite a few friends and a variety of treatments. I have something to say to all of you...

It's totally worth it.

Last day day of preschool!

Today was the last day of preschool. Joel and I got to attend class with her and see all the fun things she's learned and meet some of the other parents. She is surprisingly good at Yoga!

Clifton, looking way to grown up to be only 10 weeks old!

Fathers day Baby Blessing

What a beautiful day for a baby blessing! We had a lot of family show up in support of Cliff. My favorite part was during the service, the lady speaking called him "Clifton Michael Hic... Hills." I'm very proud of my little family.

2 months old

Clifton had his 2 month checkup today. He's a healthy, ACTIVE boy. He was smiling at the nurse in his charming little way; She felt bad giving him shots. He took 3 needles to the thigh and had one medicine that he drank. He yelled once then went back to smiling.

Height: 25" - 98%

Sable the dictator...

Trying out Cliff's carseat

I picked up sable from school on Wednesday and she was wearing her backup clothes. Apparently she climbed onto the water table and got all of her clothes wet. I nodded my head and said "That sounds like my girl." She also has a problem with getting out of her seat during music time and starts dancing for all her friends. Sable is enjoying her class. The teachers assistant told me "She's about as sweet as they come." I agree.

First day of school!

I just dropped off Sable for her first day of school. She walked into the classroom and started playing with the other kids. I stayed for about 10 minutes and she never even looked for me. I can't wait to pick her up and ask "how was school?"

** Post School Update **
I showed up at the school 10 minutes early to peak into the class room and see what the kids were doing. They were sitting around the teacher singing songs and Sable was giving her full attention to the teacher, pointing at elbows and raising her arms. There are 7 kids in her class and they all looked like they were having fun. When they were done I was let into the class and when Sable saw me she gave me a HUGE smile. Her shoes were on the wrong feet, she had marker all over her hands and she looked excited! Once we got home she fell asleep before I could feed her lunch. I think school is going to be great for her, she likes being on a schedule and seems very independent. Her teacher "Miss Trina" is very sweet and patient with the kids.

I played with Cliff during Sable's preschool hours.

SCHOOL!

Sable starts public school tomorrow! We met her teacher today and saw the bright clean classroom. We're so excited for her! Sable and I went on a quick shopping trip for a school backpack and we'll be getting it ready tonight.

The sounds in my house

Outside I hear a kids soccer game starting up. The Pugs are ticking their nails on the hardwood floors as they walk. Sable is in the bedroom talking and singing to herself in the mirror. Cliff is asleep in his swing that makes a clip-clop sound as the little motor spins. From the basement I hear sounds of a battle. I hope Joel is having fun playing Diablo III.

Smiling is his favorite!

Our little Clifton turned 2 months old yesterday. It's amazing how fast he's growing. He is the happiest person I've ever met. Always smiling, laughing and "talking". He loves his sister, taking baths and attention. He's easy to take places, enjoys naps in the car and in his swing. Cliff dislikes wet diapers and waiting for food. He's able to hold up his head and tries to sit up and stand when in position. There is a lot of movement with this kid. We all love him, even his sister has warmed up: trying to hold the bottle to feed him or kissing his toes. I love having two kids.
