Tall, wobbly kid

Sable had a neuro-developmental checkup today. They measured her at 36" tall (95%). It's cool that she's a three footer before she's two years old.

Sable is trying to figure out how to stand without holding on to anything. Joel saw her cruising against the sofa, put her head on it and lift her arms so her head was holding her steady. She's not there yet but she's working on it...

First day at preschool!

Today was Sable's first day of Preschool! Daddy says she loves the swings, ate a marker and did not like being told what to do. There are so many new things to learn and the kids were all sweet. Immediately following school: nap time.

Suck it up!

Sable learned how to drink from a straw tonight. She is now working on controlling the amount of water being sucked up! There was some coughing and one very surprised look.

Color or Bronzed

We took Sable in for her "two year old birthday pictures" today. She didn't cry once! I brought a secret weapon to keep her calm and happy: her Daddy. We were asked again to sign off on the photos to be used as portfolio pieces and get put up in the store. I love it when that happens! Sable is so awesome!

Diagnosis

Sable was diagnosed with a Global Developmental Delay which is a little different than Developmental Delay.

PRESCHOOL!

Sable starts preschool in two weeks! We're so excited for her! Joel, Sable and I went to check out her class, it was adorable. When the kids went from music time to snack time, they all pushed their chairs up to the table and the chairs were so noisy it was cute. Joel will be taking her on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She's about to learn a lot!

Daddy doles out the Moche

We had Sushi for dinner the other night. Sable ate some Avacado rolls, and vegetables before wolfing down half of daddy's Moche (It's like Mango ice cream). She even mastered holding the chopsticks! Here is a video of her trying to get it right.

Shopping Day

Sable went shopping with mom and Aunt Stacy this week. The mirrors were the best part!

Windy day

Sable and I finished doing some errands today. She's easy to take grocery shopping and it's always nice spending time with her. The wind was upsetting her though. She kept squeezing her eyes shut and covering her face with her hands. I showed her how to pull her hood down over her face and she liked that the best. She would peek out to see if the wind had gone every few minutes.
