Jenny's Baby Shower

Jen's baby Shower was today at BJ's restaurant in Southcenter. It was a lot of fun! Her friends and family filled up 2 banquet tables including all the cute kids that were there. The food and service were great, and all the baby gifts for Holly were adorable. The gift with the biggest reaction was a pair of multi-colored Converse sneakers with monsters on the bottom. The games were called "who knows mom best" and "don't forget daddy" -both very cute trivia games. Great baby shower!

Baby Center update

Ouch

I've started to notice the knuckles in my hands get stiff at night. Maybe I'm eating to much salt (I have eaten many Fritos lately). It hurts to make a fist. It goes away in the morning.

The third trimester...

... is so boring! I'm getting lots of sleep, playing lots of video/computer games and catching up on books that I've owned for years. I still really bored. O' well... 6 weeks to go, then I wont be bored for years!

Dr. Appointment at 33 weeks

I had another checkup today. My blood pressure is perfect and I still haven't gained any weight although my baby bump is growing and measuring perfectly. The little contractions are normal, the baby's heartbeat is still the best sound in the world and her movement is great. She's awesome and we're both healthy.

Needs more space

Our little Sable has sure been active this week, I can feel her moving almost all day and all night long. I'm not feeling her kick or punch as much but moving - yes! Just about seven weeks left until she's here! I'm getting excited and slower moving, My belly has gotten heavier and I'm trying not to lean back when I walk.

We had a tour of the birthing suites at Swedish a few days ago. I liked that the rooms were pink and the newborns get fitted with a "Baby Low-jack", The hospital wing goes into lockdown if the baby is within 10 feet of an exit door. Joel liked the "Expectant Mother" parking.

Today Joel and I are picking up Sable's dresser and taking a tour of the hospital. And My mom bought us a playard/bassinet combo. I spend a lot of time in the baby's room, cleaning and organizing... mostly waiting.

Bumping around again

Sable Rene' is back on the move. John, Joels dad, even felt her kicking today.

I've started to have contractions, about two per day for a few seconds. They don't hurt *yet*. They feel like a light cramp or a squeeze from a hug.

I haven't felt her kicking as much today. She'll probably make up for it tomorrow.

baby weight

Due to illness and the fasting glucose test this week, I've lost 4 1/2 pounds this week. The doctors are not worried about my weight because my baby bump is measuring the correct size.

I do NOT have Gestational Diabetes. One less thing to worry about!

My Celica is for sale. It's not functional enough for us and a kid. A hard but good decision in the long run.
